no light under the hood ??
I just love how when someone brings up a feature on other truck brands people say, "Bah, who needs that anyways." When someone brings up a feature their truck has, they proclaim it to be genious.

Even when it was junked it still ran fine...just a puff of blue smoke when first fired up. The body rot had finally won out and made it not worth fixing, and then rotted brake lines popped pinholes, etc. True, many of these trucks didn't see 100K, but the same can be said for Fords and Dodges of the same vintage. I've owned them all, and they're all the same overall.
The main reason I don't carry a flashlight in my truck is there is no room. On my 2006 XL it doesn't have a console and the glove box is so small you couldn't carry a pack of gum in it. As big as the dash is you would think the glove box would be a little larger, I like a glove box big enough to lug a picnic ham in. I guess I could have a flashlight rolling all over the floor behind the seat. But I agree, An under the hood light would be nice. The one on my 84 F150 had a retractable wire and magnet and was damn handy one night when I had a flat tire.
