If I recall correctly re gearsets...

Precision and Ford Racing typically make good gearsets

Genuine some people have had issues wtih - and don't they make gears for another company also?

What about the others, ie Motive and Yukon?

Precission is the best gear company IMO. Yukon is also pretty damn good.

i just got a quote from 4wheel parts... $1679.... dont know what brand gears and thats without a differential cover. is that an ok price??? im going to try the guy that i bought the lift from but i dont think he does very many gear installs... so i dont know if i trust him as much as 4wp.

4WheelParts will negotiate, just tell them that you'll do it for $1650 with a differential cover.

I'm sure they're installing Precision well that's what my 4WheelParts was going to be using.

ok ill do it tomorrow.... im going on a cruze on sunday, so week after next ill probably do it.... im excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ill be fast agian!!!! o and i just orderd my edge programer yesterday!!!

i just thought about it.... tomorrow will be the last time i tow my boat with stock gears!!!!!!

You lucky S.O.B. I need gears. Let us know how the difference is and maybe write down some RPM numbers before and after the install if you don't mind.

i am also thinking about doing my gears i have 24x10's on 37x14's... right now i'm getting 12mpg city and 14mpg highway with 3.73s... i was thinking about doing 4.88s i need good city and good highway ill be driving a lot of stop and go and then highway every weekend... anyone have any suggestions?
