it does hook up like a westin and would take away the tow hooks, but i saw a few bull bars were the round tubing looked like it went through the holes where the tow hooks where originally. Then I saw some that looked like it had brackets where you could see where the round tubing part connected to the brackets. I would rather have it where the tubing goes through the hole and connects. Im getting a good deal on the smittybilt, if it wasnt for that, I would go westin.
