LED license plate bulbs:which site to go?

the ones im running now were bought on ebay. i bought 2 sets but im down to my last 2 pieces. the output is ok but i would say nowhere close to that of the IS250. i heard VLEDS.com is supposed to be good, but im not sure which types to get (6-led, 4-led, etc). im considering really bright output and longevity. suggestions please. thanks!

I'm [pretty] sure your local automative accessories place will have what you're looking for.... and you'll save money on shipping and [possible] filament damge during shipping.

Well filament damage is of no concern because LED's have no filament.

Chances are the local auto parts store will only have the cheap-o APC units. Spend the money and get some good ones from SuperBrightLEDs I have heard nothing but good things about them.

Agreed, and I probably haven't been through as many license plate bulbs as he has but they are always dim. I've been thinking of a great way to do cathode plate lighting. Planning on aiming small LED's fully recessed at an angle in the lower bumper at the plate and shaving part of the LED to make a wider projection or just digging out the lower bumper enough to recess a cathode.

Back on topic, the part number you want is 194 and get it however bright you want it... but i'll be honest too its not THAT bright because of the way the housing is... I have this one...

V-Leds.com 194 Bulb

Here's a semi decent picture of it...

In the video clip you can see the license plate... this video was taken to show the led's from v-leds.com that I switched for all my 3157 bulbs...

I have replaced all bulbs with leds, so if you have some questions shoot me a pm... and although I am a girl, I don't bite... hard
