which to get?

So I am finally going to order a CIA this week and it either going to be an airaid jr or an S&B. Which should I get? Its for an 05 4.6L. Thanks for the help.

Put this in the exhaust and intake sub-forum and you may get more results. I havent gotten one yet, but ive heard alot of really good about the AF1. Do some more research and you'll pretty much come up with the K&n, AF1, Airaid, and S&B.

Yeah you need to talk with Mike or someone from his office. The AF1 is the only intake that will not make your truck run dangerously lean.

'05 4.6L here too.. get the AirForce1 3". You will not regret it!! No lean condition, sweet sounds and improved throttle response. AF1 my friend! :beers:

Here's how it looks on a '05 4.6L..

is af1 a oil-filter or a dry-filter? if not dry, which are that wont cause lean conditions? ive been wanting to get one for my 4.6 but i dont wanna have to worry about remembering to oil it...

The AF1 is an oiled element.. I wouldn't worry too much about remembering to oil it as the recommendation is to clean and oil it every 50,000 miles. I think I'll do the service on mine at about every 3 oil changes, or 10k miles.
Dry or oiled is not a concern as far as causing a lean condition, it's in the design of the intake that can cause you to run lean. The 3" AF1 will not cause a lean condition. The 3.5" requires tuning to prevent lean running.

I could not be happier with my 3" AF1.. sound, better throttle response.. It's a good thing.. lol.. :beers:
