That's why I didn't want 4x4... I have had way too many issues with it. If I had unlimited money, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. So cool to go offroading and stuff... But for now rear wheel drive is for me.

There are several checks you need to do before you are set on the tcase. It could be a number of small things. I'd go through these with you but I've posted them about 1309842 times and not to mention you are taking it into the dealer. Is your front driveshaft spinning while the front tires remain unpowered? If so, it's not the tcase. It is the hubs. At least rule that out for us and we'll go from there.

Take off your shift motor (4 bolts) and manually engage the tcase with a socket. See if the front driveshaft spins now.

There's a $5 seal inside the hubs that keeps the vacuum pressure between the front drive shafts and the hubs. I had to replace my seal when we was installing my lift. It was split in 2 places but I rarely used 4wd so it could have been split for months. If sand got up in there it could of prevented the seal from working and might have cause the hub to jolt back and forth trying to engage.

You can take your hand and pull that rubber boot area and see if the hub will slide back and forth to engage. I would encourage people to take the front wheel, rotors off, and hub off just see how this 4wd works. It's pretty interesting and extremely simple. Took me like 40 minutes to change that seal out and get it back together with a breaker bar and 18mm sockets.

so it engages then pulls forward about 10ft then the truck jumps and makes a really loud clink sound like two hammers hitting eachother, then engage again it does the same thing over and over again...... the interesting thing is it goes in 4x4 low and works great... no skiping no loud noises.... just when it first engages makes a loud clink.
