Black3v, think a one piece driveshaft would help out? Costly but we've spent money before.

Like smokin said you will be able to hit 350 no problem with an 8 psi kit but you can do it with lower boost. I am only at 6psi until 5k rpm and made 377 with full exhaust. The number most people on here shoot for with blowers is 400rwhp since it is a little harder to come by but more than a few people have done it.

aaaand you are in luck with the driveshaft since it already comes with a 1 piece 4in aluminum driveshaft. At least mine did (screw w/ 5.5 bed)

edit: as for never being able to touch Lightning performance...My brother has an '03 and we have raced to about 70 or so and he had me by about 3 truck lengths. From a 2nd gear roll it was much closer. His truck is basically stock except for an intake and tune and has gone 13.7 @ 100. We have yet to race since I did the exhaust and dynotune but I will bet its damn close. Same amount of boost except with mine weighing close to 1000lbs more.

No kidding it's a one piece!?!?! I opted for the same bed length when I ordered mine. Figured it would be like my HD and be a two piece. Cool, that's save money for a d/s loop.

I'm sorry if you all are not as enthusiastic about this model as I am and I will happily drop the subject all together.

BTW stock what will a supercrew truck run in the 1/4?

well maybe our trucks are quicker than i think. all i know is that u see a roush 8 psi truck run a 14.9 according to that article which makes sense because ive heard that you add a 10th of a second on the ET for every 100 lbs. of extra weight... a full second off and ET is a pretty fair *** whupin in my book but then again i did a 60-100 with a lightning a while back before my tune and gears and it was pretty close... so who knows. its hard to compare unless you run them side to side a ful 1/4.

as far as a stock screw i would guess mid 16's on a good run.

What article did you see that in? Last article I read in FPT, the Roush ran 13.9 in the quarter

"14.9 seconds at 93.3 mph"

not saying that better times arent possible, but you will never see a lighting that will run a 14.9 unless there's something wrong with it...

Just got done reading the article on installing an Edge Evolution Performance tuner on a 2005 Super Crew and Win Dyno'd at stock was 179.9 and 230.7 hp on the level 3 tune...Ford Performance Trucks Spring 2007 issue.

The Roush Stage 3 in question is in the same magazine and the best 1/4 time was 13.93 @ 96 mph. The Stage 3 is only a crew cab and rides on 20" rims. Article goes on to say this trucks weighs in at 5,520 lbs.

I'm gonna miss my HD. Nothing a couple of pieces here and there can't help fill that void.

Also what is the "recommended" tuner for these? The Evolution has some nice features just does not sound like you can go past or add custom tunes to it. Am I right on this or should I just stick with the X Cal 2???

I'd stick with the Xcal2 without a doubt, especially coming from your last truck. I have a feeling that this one won't be stock for long.

Stock, not for long with less than 200 rwhp. Thanks for letting me know to stay with the Xcal2. I've had great success with it and it is easy to use.

Article starts on page 70 of the Spring 2007 issue.

Level 1: 179.9 hp @ 4,413 rpm/ tq 248.9 @ 3,607 rpm (transmissionn only)
Level 2: 211.0 hp @ 4,997 rpm/ tq 264.7 @ 3,633 rpm (towing)
Level 3: 230.7 hp @ 4,539 rpm/ tq 302.6 @ 3,563 rpm (High performance)

Again these were done on a SuperFlow WinDyn dyno, which I am not familiar with so I have no idea if there is a correction ratio for that type or not.

Seems like the perfect little tuner for the guys that just want a little extra seat of the pants go. MSRP on the kit is $ 489.00

Those dyno numbers are way off to make the Edge look better than it really is and this is coming from a Edge owner. These trucks will dyno any where between 210-240 rwhp. I'd say its more around the 220-230 rwhp range for the most part but there have been a few abnormalities just like in anything.

I for one know there are all kinds of variances that can change dyno numbers and I'm more of an ET guy anyways, I was just curious to see if anyone has done a before and after with either a CAI and tuner or stock to blower.
Whatever, just curious to see what some have seen on the rollers.
