Backup Lights In Bumper...
the other day i was at the mall and saw one of the cleanest f250 i have seen in a while. What caught my eye was the rear bumper. It had aux lights through the rear bumper.... nothing exagerated, looked stock. i have been looking for something similar here but have not found it. Anyone have any pics of something similar... unfortunately i did not have my camera that day!

it's fairly easy to do. find a round fog/backup light you like. then find a hole saw that is about 1/4 to 1/2 bigger in diameter. then tape off the area and after measuring twice, cut out the area using the hole saw.
make sure to cover the new metal exposed.
you can do it with a rectangular also, but you need to drill out the edges of the rectangle and take a lot of time with a hack saw...but it can be done and look professional.
oh yeah, it also looks really nice when you get some black rubber moulding and line the edge of the hole...it's one of those little touches that make a huge difference

That sounds like a pretty good idea, however, how do you protect the lights from hitting, or being hit doing stupid things like backing into a trailer tongue?
I would think you'd recess the lamp about a quarter to a half inch, and cover the hole with expanded steel. Do they make that stuff chromed?
