How much can I lower my truck and still tow

I wanna put some 20's and lower my truck to make it look right. How low can I go and still keep the 4wd and full or close to full towing capacity. I tow either a 20 ft. open trailer w/ my race car on it (prob 3-4,000 lbs) or a 28 ft. enclosed every weekend about an hour away to the track. If I can do it what parts are best to use? Thanks for the help

i dont have a 4wd and i may be lowered more than you are planning(3/5), but i can speak from my experience. as far as towing, its all about tongue weight. on my truck, if i can keep the tongue weight of the trailer below around 500 lbs or so im good to tow a large amount. the equipment trailer that i tow on a daily basis weighs around 4,000 lbs currently loaded and i have no problems because the tongue weight is only 200 lbs or so. however we also have a 4,000 lb empty weight dump trailer that i have a hard time towing because its so front heavy.

so really all depends on what you plan on towing. i think ive heard that tongue weight typically runs around 10% of the gross trailer weight, so if you want to tow a 10,000 lb trailer (which i wouldnt even on a stock truck) then your hitch/suspension should be able to handle 1,000 lbs of tongue weight. just something to keep in mind

I towed with my 3/5 drop all the time. Towed a 1 ton chevy without a problem.
