You guys have to remember that I will be 21 in July. I am a student, work at an IT firm, firefighter, emt. Money isn't to readily available. I have worked my *** off to only owe 10k on this truck now. I like my payments where they are at.

Just ranting.

When I was 21 I didn't even have a F-150. You have a great truck. No matter what you get, there's always going to be something more. Somtimes it's not about having what you want. It's wanting what you've got.

22 here in college and have also worked my *** off to pay for what I've got. I bought used so I could get something a little nicer and it worked well for me. Be proud of what you got, its a nice truck... IMO better than what most have(in general).

Then you should not be regretting your purchase. I got my first F-150 ten years ago; a used 93 4x4 reg cab with the 302/5speed, she wasn't much compared to what I was driving, but boy did I have fun with her!

My advice... You're young... Enjoy what you have now!

Mmmm

I say, if you have to make payments, they are much easier if you are paying for something you LIKE (that is if you can afford it)

#2, you may have a loss but financing at 0% for 60 months should REALLY help (and maybe be more of an incentive).

I KNOW I could not afford mine, but because of the financing rate it allowed me to get alittle more than I had and/or wanted!!!

Just my 2 cents (not that it is even worth that)

Good luck!

Well you could always go camping with your truck and just park it close to the water's edge. With alittle luck it may turn into a canoe. With all this rain in Texas it's going to flood somewhere

I think the truck that was floating down the river was a Toyota, another good selling point ????

if you dont know the difference between the two and are just wishing you had the 5.4 cuz of posts on this forum, you can go and put the 5.4 badges on ur truck and be like, hey i have a 5.4! and anybody who has never drive nthe 5.4 would never know.

muahaha.

I in now way wanted to come across as ungrateful for what I have. I just had a brief overwhelming period of jealousy when I made this thread :-)

I am just glad that I work hard for my toys, knowing that mommy and daddy didnt go out and buy me a a loaded lariat 4x4 and then lifted it

Next toy is a Kawasaki stand up jetski. Finally pull something with my truck!

Im 18 and have an '06, but it isn't quite as good as yours. I wouldn't give my truck up. I got a super deal on a STX regular cab short bed 2wd with a 4.2 and a 5 speed. Its paid off and I own it. I say keep your truck and be happy.
The 5.4 only puts like 30hp more to the wheels than the 4.2 manual does. Don't be fooled, my truck would just smoke the stock tires. They look bad on paper, but real life is the complet opposite. The opposite of the 5.4, they look really good on paper, but it real life I have been disapointed by them. A screw with a 5.4 is about as fast as my truck. Stock vs. stock.
