Holy s#it!
I'm very sorry to hear that this guy's selfish actions will leave an unforgettable memory for you
At first, I thought this thread was just a sick joke....but unfortunately that's not the truth. This guy took the easy way out, the only thing he did was hurt his family along with you and your brother. Again, I'm very sorry to hear that he did this to you, it was not your fault.

That sucks man...I wouldn't worry too much about it. Screw the A-hole if you ask me. He should have jumped off a bridge or shot himself in the head...why would he want to screw with someone else.
If he did it to me, I'd be thankful that he did it to someone that wouldn't care one bit and not feel the least bit responsible for his death instead of someone that would blame themselves. Suicide itself is very selfish, but this really takes the cake. Find a bridge and jump off.

I would make sure everything is well documented in the police report in case some greedy family members try to get a lawyer. Hopefully the investigators took plenty of pictures at the scene that will corroborate your version of the events (the truth). It sounds open and shut but its better to cover all your bases.

It's not you fault and don't second guess what happened. You did everythng in you power to avoid hitting him but he was bound and determined to do himself. I'm a retired police/SWAT officer and was involved in a suicide by cop incident 17 years ago. Even if you don't think you need to, talk to a clergy person or a professional. I thought I was immune to this type of thing but they made me talk to a professional as well as the other officers on the team, it helped. It affected all of us. Speak with you family, don't block them out. What ever you do don't hold it in. I'll say a prayer for you and your brother.
