After seeing so many horrendous wrecks involving the F150 and people walking away from them, I was sort of shocked to see this story on the news tonight. He actually pushed the freeway sign pole 3 feet :(

Wow... that is sad....

May Christopher Holsapple Rest In Peace

Wow, that's just terrible. R.I.P - Christopher Holsapple of Edmonds

Ouch

Seems they care more about the sign than of the driver who passed. No I dont expect it to be an obituary but who cares how much a sign will cost to replace vs loosing someone like that.

Too early and cranky for this I guess.

You guys aren't alone. That's cold! What about that poor souls family? I'm pretty sure by 36 he would have had a wife, maybe some kids, or if he wasn't that way a domestic partner of some sort. This had to impact quite a few people, not just the state highway budget...

They also don't give any explaination as to what they mean by "high rate of speed". Was he simply speeding and lost control, fleeing from the cops, alcohol a factor, weather conditions? No matter what his reason, you'd think they would be a little more sympathetic for the driver who lost his life and not focus on something as trivial as having to replace a road sign.

That's sad, but even in a wreck like that it's still built Ford tough. The F150 was the only thing holding up the sign.

I was thinking the same thing. Where is this out of?

the I-5 is always packed regardless of time , probally was driving like a jackass

anaheim 05-09-2007 08:35 PM

I noticed when they were showing footage of the truck, the steering wheel air bag was still intact, although it would have done nothing as to the end result of the driver, wouldn't you think it would have deployed?

Wow and only 36. Everytime I see someone younger than I go it just makes me realize that every day I have above ground is a gift and I should treat it that way. R.I.P. Christopher.
