Racinghouse Black Halo's

For the people who have installed these lights, do i need to modify the wiring that comes with these lights? The lights should be here tomorrow, just want to make sure i don't need anything from the parts store.

Nope... just an extra wire hookup to light the Halo lamp. Watch to see if water seeps in when you wash. A couple of folks including myself had that experience but the seller was good about sending me another pair which I will be installing this weekend followed by a good wash.

They're plug and play.

I'm fighting with the guy now on my second set... They look cool but, mine leaked like a sieve... not just one, not just two... but ALL FOUR (two sets).

well i got them installed and it looks like the rain is moving in. so we will see how much water gets inside them. will let you know what happens, and maybe a few pics tomorrow.

thanks for the help

I put a good amount of sealant on the lights... haven't had a problem yet... and its been power washed twice since I put them in... you'll love the looks you get :D

My lights also leaked bad. Even after sealant....:(

well i think i have a problem with these lights as well. it seems the entire halo ring thingy does not want to light up. i would say that only 85-90% of the ring lights up.

it rained for a good 2-3 hours after install and no leaks, will need to take it to a carwash tomorrow for the real test.

Mine do that as well but only when its cold, After a while they warm up and the whole ring lights up.

So far, I think Matt got the only fully functional, non-leaking set that racinghouse sold! LOL!

DTheobald May 8, 2007 12:20 AM

I got fully functional, non-leakers too...

well we know that 2 pairs are good! just keep sending them back and getting new ones till you get a good set. I know I would that guy is gonna go broke with all the shipping he has to fork out

gonefishin10 May 8, 2007 01:47 PM

mine seem to be fully functional as well...after reading matt's post about letting them warm up, i tried them again last night, letting them stay on for a few minutes, and they work.

it has rained the last couple days, and no leaks. i have yet to run it through a wash yet, so when it decides to stop raining i will give it a good wash to see what happens.
