crazynip: I paid $400 for a new smooth xlt upper pad and to have it painted. I asked them the same thing "How hard is it to get the colors matched?" They said it was not a problem and as you can see it turned out perfect.

Tylus: I do plan on getting a 1.5" leveling kit whenever I need to get new and bigger tires. 265/70/R17

kingofkings: I don't think the chrome bumpers would look good with the black stripes and the red/black theme. And I considered painting the bumpers red but after looking at some red STXs I don't really like that either. If anything I will probably buy a new front bumper with the round fog lights and paint it and the rear bumper black.

-TXF150-: I plan on getting new power mirrors in the future. One upgrade at a time as the budget allows.

deerfeedrb: Truck looks good, some new rims and tires and it will look even better.

2 tone

Maybe if you paint your truck like 2 tone and match the color of the front bumber and paint the rear as the front is a good idea. This is the color scheme of my FX4

I got the cover new from ebay. The seller worked at a body shop in Texas and I had him paint it for a little extra.

deerfeedrb: Thats how you got it done so cheap, Ebay. I considered buying an upper pad off of ebay but I wanted to make sure I was getting the right part so I had the shop that painted it order it from Ford which is why it cost me $400.

Let's hear it for the XLs. I am still working on mine. Pics can be found in my gallery. I have since added an amp and sub. I will add more pics this weekend after a good washing. I want to replace my grille with a Mustang GT like one from Street Scene.

I always laugh when I hear about people who pay like 10-15 grand more than me and the only real creature comfort they have to show for it is power windows and locks...

of course discounting all the bells and whistles like leather heated seats, navigation, fancier instrument cluster, computer controlled air conditioning (that always breaks about 3-4 years into ownership), etc

and the FX4 owners whose idea of an offroad excursion is driving into the yard to wash the truck

Ok first of all I own an FX4 so noone give me TOO much crap!

It is really an expensive joke.

The only thing more 4x4 about an FX4 is the dang skid plates, ok the shocks but those are a joke. Oh yea you get a decal...woopty doo! My dad has an XLT and has everything I do for alot less money.

Dodge is the only one that did it right with the powerwagon! Dangit Ford!
