Believe me I would love the 12 inch setup... But now I see what thump is saying... Running 40's would look bada$$ but its going to do a lot of wear and tear on everything... I plan on keeping this truck for a while and since im about to start college.. I dont really want to worry about replacing stuff all the time. Im just going to go with the 8 inch rize, 2.5 inch spacer, 4 inch aal, king coilovers and piggybacks, 38.5x15.50r20 toyo mt, 20 inch rim and 4.88 gears. Now im sure if I want to go bigger I could always crank up the Kings and throw a body lift on there with some 40's. For now I think going from stock to 38's will be alot of fun!

You know, when I got the lift that was my thinking..But now that its on I really think it will look good. Im just going 1.5" in the front, that should level the truck perfect..The truck as it sits now has that oem front rake which I really dont like.

FX4, Its not the height of the tire its the width that'll cause wear and tear, the 38x15.5 and 40x15.5 are basically the same thing (Cause the same Wear)if your gonna run the 38's might as well go 40's it'll be the same thing. Now im just basically realying the information Marty gave me I just got off the phone with him. Basically if you dont put your truck through hell you'll be ok MAYBE, but if you do anything such as towing or any off-roading whatsoever. Go with 37's. Hes got me thinking, Im actually thinking of going back to college and wont be on the ranch as much so Im still thinking about what im gonna do. Hope this info helps you out........

my tires are 38's and 15.50 wide and nothing wrong yet and i have off roaded and have towed my jet ski. though a jet ski doesnt weigh too much so.
but nothihng has broken on me.

and there is still a difference between the 38's and 40s and that is simply weight. 2 inch larger tire can weigh a good bit more and then you got 4 of them.

Just think about it like this... When you put that large of a tire on there, think of how much stress that actually puts on your tie rods to turn that big tire, also more stress means it takes more power from your stock power steering pump which is prone to go out eventually, it's almost like the trickle down effect of big tires

Oooo it has to do with the width. Well then... I think im just going to run the 38x15.50 because ill prob rub with the 40's. I really dont want to do alot of trimming. And patshea said he hasnt had any problems so hopefully I wont either. I never do any towing so thats fine and I offroad like once every two months so that will be fine too. Most of my driving will be around town to school and work. The info deffinetly helps me out! I appreciate all the info yall have given me!.. Deffinetly want to do all of my homework on this before I go spend all that $$$$$.

How often do you think I will need to replace tie rods and all that stuff?

Go to All Out Offroad dude if you want a quality job. I had my truck done there when I had my Ford. When I purchase another truck I'll be going back there.

Yeah I hear All Out Offroad does really good work but im set on going to Truck Toyz. Ill hopefully get to meet up with some guys out there from forums since ill be making an 8 hour drive. Is there any trails or good places to offroad out there in or by McAllen,Tx? I figure ill go down for a few days and find some places around there to test out the truck.. But maybe ill stop by All Out Offroad to see the shop on the way back.

Also where are yall hearing that the Rize 12 inch is coming out next month? I couldnt find anything on the website

Very good! About the same as Rize, the only two lifts id buy. Both have different steering setup's unlike Fabtech, Pro-Comp etc.......

Its money that ive had saved. And im working so its not like mommy and daddy are handing me all this money

I do like the look of the cst lift. I dont know how many people are running that setup on here but it looks great. Im pretty sure its almost twice as expensive as rize tho. But still if you have the money to play I would deffinetly look into it and do a whole different setup.
