I went from 3:73 gears to 4:56 gears and still get 15+mpg avg and gained alot of power. Go for it!

Went to the track tonight... lol Im sick of those insane 2.44 60' times..

Heavy a$$ brick! She ran a 16.8 at 82, and I was able to use the mph off the slips to calibrate those new tires to match the spedo!

My future Mod's I think in this order!

1. Gears,
2. E-Fans
3. MagnaFlow Exhaust SIDO (Tired of the Flow50series in stock location SISO)
4. Troyer Tune (time to trash the SC1714 Canned stuff and go custom to fit my truck)

Then... since I know I wont be happy with it after that... and I'll wanna go Faster.. I'll buy a sport bike and have a nice rig to pull my bike!

The gears will make a huge difference, I can't wait to get my 4.88s in mine.

Bigger than a tuner IMHO.

Two similar trucks:
One with 35's 3.73 gears and a tuner (my bro-in-law's truck)
The other with 35's and 4.56 gears, no tuner (his buddy's truck)
The truck with gears smokes the truck with just a tuner.

Even us supercharged guys notice a big difference.
He's talking about the hesistation off the line. This is caused by the stock tune from Ford. If he gets gears, the hesistation will still be there. If gets a proper tuner like the Edge that will fix this issue. Then he can decide if he wants to go about changing out parts, gears, and whatnot.

I dont have the hesitation off the line ... I have the sc1714 with 91+ and it fixed the "lag" in the throttle response. May not be as great as a custom tp tune or Edge. But the 1714 is a good tuner! I just want a little harder acceleration, and Im tired of all the searching the tranny does on the interstates when you hit different grades. I just think 4.10's should pep it up all the way around.

I need to start installing gears on the side if people are charging that much for labor.

I spent $1600.00 front and rear with new seals and bearings. $1500.00 isnt bad. Ive noticed the price changes depending on where you live.

Don't FEAR the GEAR!!!

Just make sure the shop guarantees NO Noise, mine did.
