Is this a good deal for a 04 FX4?
I found an extended cab 04 fx4 f150 with 38,000 miles on it. It has the 5.4, sun roof, rear slider, cloth, and brand new tires. I have looked at it and it is spotless. The body is smooth, you can tell it has always been waxed. I found one little tiny chip on the bed, you really have to look to find it. The interior is also clean. I talked to the guy and the absolute lowest he will go is $20,500. Is this a good deal?
Thanks

Not a bad deal, but KBB is always a little high, and less than 5% of vehicles fall under their "excellent condition". A good price to look at is the "good" and go with that. Also, owning an 04 fX4 myself with 60k on it, i'd advise away from an 04 and try for an 05. My 04 has most of the goofy quirks that the 04's are known for. JMO, good luck
KBB is different for vehicle's some high/some low. For example KBB said that my 14,000 mile show car condition mach1 was worth $16,000 and the MSRP on the car when it came out was $28,500. It was basically saying the car depreciated 50% in 3 years!!! So you can't always trust the KBB...

I would say that $20,500 is too much, either that or I got a smoking deal when I bought mine in Jan of 06. I paid $19,XXX for my 04 F150 FX4, supercab, flareside, with leather, flowthru console, power pedals, deluxe mirrors, power seat, TT package, only 30,000 miles, and like I said this was about 16 months ago.
A local dealer has basically the same truck (FX4, supercab) that you are looking at but an 05 with 35,000 miles for $19,000.

Good luck with what you decide!
On the high side, I think. I paid $24K for my '04 Screw Lariat , LOADED. 5.4L, Moonroof, leather, heated seats, power slider, tonneau cover, rhino liner, audiophile, power pedals, 4X4 and a year of warranty left still. 16K miles on it in Nov. of '06.

I agree, it does seem a tad bit high. However, if its "the one", and you are really ecstatic about it, you probably aren't too far in terms of price. I'd think you'd be closer to 19 or 19.5K for that truck in superb condition.
If it isn't "the one", then I'd say keep looking.
