Cheapest place for Autolite HT0's???
Cheapest place for Autolite HT0's???
I need to get a set of these plugs before I get that S/C back on and I was wondering where some of you guys got these plugs. Directly from autolite they are almost $12 a plug......and I found this post in a mustang forum for a set of HT0's shipped for $80, post #10. Anyone know of any cheaper?
It's been a while, but I think Whipple charged me $80 for a set of 8. I'm not certain, but I think you can get them through NAPA now, not sure what the price is though. If you find a good deal, make sure to post back, I'd like to know. I'm about to start using mixed gas to up the octane, so hopefully I won't be burning through the plugs as fast any longer. I'm going through a set every 3 months or so.
Are all you supercharged guys gapping down the plugs at all or leaving them at the factory setting of .045 or whatever it is.

Thinking about it though, nobody is really running enough boost to be re-gapped I don't guess... Except RAFA.
Vortech makes a tool to size em' all up perfect.

*MAYBE*.. FATHERFORD re-gapped his. I remember him replying to a thread about gapping plugs.
The first place that tried to tune my truck gapped my plugs to .032 without me knowing and just found out when I pulled one out yesterday. I know this is costing me some power so now I gotta spend the dough on some more plugs. I have probably spent close to $1000 on these damn HT0's in the past year or so between this truck and my mustang. What the hell was wrong with the "old" plug design which they still use even on the GT500. Damn 3v heads!
BTW I found them for $9.50 ea here but shipping is $10. http://dagostinoracing.com/index.php...ducts_id=10144
