Yes, but... I had 85K on that truck and not ONE mile was easy. I beat the hell out of that truck. It was a miracle it lasted that long the way I drove it. I'm a lot nicer to my FORD, but that is because I just don't think anything could hold up to the abuse I put my last one through. I never had any problems that weren't obviously my fault with that truck. It truly was "Like a Rock"! But I like my FORD much better!

The truck was wrecked in January, as many of you know. A lot of you have been following the progress. Well, I ended up dropping the truck off at Black Sky Performance & Offroad around March 3rd, I believe. The truck sat for a long week with nothing being down other than the new struts and they 'tried' to get it aligned. I get a call around the 14th saying that the frame is bent by 9 degrees. Hmm, okay? Well, we gave Black Sky the okay to order the frame, we even gave them $2500 for the frame and the wheel. Which of course should of been a red flag that if a shop can't pay these costs up front than something is wrong. . Well regardless, we thought we were dealing with good people. I let them have time to do the work and not get on their nerves. We were told it would take 4 days to get the frame, 4 days to do the frame, 2 days for paint, and a day for alignment. So, figure 11 days. . I call around the 20th which was about 6 days later from the date of the order for the frame. No frame? Hmm, thats wierd. We call back the next day, no frame once again. We than ask to have the phone number to the trucking company and/or the company who the frame was ordered through. Black Sky told us they ordered it through the Ford dealer, but than said no they didn't, they ordered from someone else so we had no idea what was going on, other than we were being lied to. . So finally after sorting through the lies we decided to take some action. We spoke to Black Sky 2 days ago about the progress, they said it was being worked on and they had the bed off and it was sent to the Ford dealer in Jacksonville. However, the next day we call and the truck is now at another shop? I don't know who authorized the movement of my truck to another shop, but we sure as hell didn't. Anyways, we ask for the address of the truck but they can't give that to us and tell us that they will have to verify that it is okay. Than they tell us that it is at the shop foreman's house. Wait a minute, you don't know your shop foreman's address or phone number? Thats a little odd. We decided to take a little road trip today, of course we brought our trailer. We showed up at around 11:30, no one is there but my truck is there without anything done to it but the bed is off. So we wait, 1o'clock rolls around, we decide to start making phone calls. The owner of Black Sky tells us that it is being worked on at the very minute, thats strange we are sitting right out in front and nothing is being done. . So they finally show up, the owner got pretty angry, we kept composure and calm because all we want is our truck back, our money back and we'll be on our way. The owner ended up calling the cops because we wouldn't leave the parking lot. . Hmm. Okay, so the cops show up and we discuss the situation, in which they have us sit across the street. Now to make a lot of useless stuff, short. We finally got our truck back and in one piece, all of my parts, and our money back. .
The sad part about this whole situation is that we were more than nice and gave them all of our patience in dealing with this matter but we got taken advantage. I would suggest no one do business with them, they lie, and they lie horribly. Now tomorrow, we will see if the truck really does need a frame. . maybe they lied about that as well!?

I had the same exact ordeal with 4 Wheel Parts here in Fort Worth. Many Many lies and the only compensation I got was a free add-a-leaf installed. I did however get ahold of the president of 4 wheel parts and he gave all the guys a good talking to because the next time I walked into their store the manager and the staff that I was dealing with had to give me a formal apology. Lets just say I will not be back at that 4 Wheel Parts with my next truck I decide to customize.
damn whats up with shops now a days setting dates? first rafa. then you?? people are getting lazy thats all it is. sry to hear that thump hope everything turns out ok. and i guess all it is, is luck. So.. good luck buddy.
Damn Thumper I thought you had a really good relationship with Black Sky. They screwed me too. I called down there in September to set up an appointment in October, told em exactly what I wanted and when I asked em if I could drop it off on a Friday morning and pick it up on Saturday night they said it would be no problem. Called them a week before makin sure everything was still good, and called back 2 days before we left to go down there. Everythings ready man. Well we got there about 10AM on Friday and they told us to bring the truck back tomorrow cause they were too busy to get started on it today. I was like what the hell, I called you guys a month in advance. But I just said whatever and we left and hung out in Jacksonville, which I thought was the lamest damn city I've ever been to. The next day, called in to work and asked off for Monday, went back down to Black Sky. I asked em if it would be ready by Monday and they said, well you can leave it here and we might be able to get started on it this afternoon but I doubt it. I was like what do you mean get started? They said theyd go ahead and take the stock wheels and tires off so it will be closer to being ready when the lift and crap comes in. WHAT? Yea it will probably be Thursday before were through with it. ******* THAT, We packed our crap and headed down I 10 to Panama City for the rest of the weekend.

I'd consider legal action to get the costs of your expenses driving back and forth. Not to mention the time they held the truck.
At least a call to the BBB is warranted here. Letting them off the hook by just returning the truck and the money won't protect someone else if they don't read this thread or meet you.
Thought I would understand if you don't want the hastle of reporting them to the BBB.
