HID trouble...

Ok...call me a retard but I am truely stumped on this one. I am usually pretty good with anything electrical on my truck, but I cant figure out where this plug goes for my HID lights...

Everything else is pretty obvious where everything goes. Here is the instructions telling what the prong is...

And here is the whole mess of wires to hook up the HID's...

I am confused so any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S...sorry for the blurry pictures, my camera got dropped and is screwed up.

Yes all the other plugs either plug into the ballast, the HID lights, or ground. This plug controls the High/Low controller.

It says it plugs into the headlamp socket.... I dunno. It's def for the high/low control thats for sure.

I agree with fireman dave. I would unplug your old headlight and see if the connection is the same then hook it in. That's my guess

It looks like the signal wires for the HID system. Odd plug though. The socket that the original halogen bulb was plugged into needs to connect to this if that is the case. If it does not plug in then you will need to splice the wires in: one high beam signal, one low beam, and one ground.

I'm the first to admit I know NOTHING about HID lights. But looking at your wiring harness pictures, it appears there is a high voltage lead for your battery, a ground, two connectors for the HID lamps and the lead in question that I would guess plugs into the factory harness of the headlight loom to trigger the lamp. Again, just a guess and no offense meant if I am over stating something you already know.

Yea I already know all of that. Maybe it plugs into the area above the fuse box? Is there anyone that has access to a wire diagram for the headlight harness? The hid box says its totally plug and play.

They sent a kit with the "wrong plug" for the F150 headlight socket.

Black = ground
Red = high beam
Blue = low beam

These wire should control the high and the low beam.
I am NOT 100% sure if the high is red or blue though.
Got a multi-meter to test with?

Hope this helps...
Can't wait for the pics!

Doesnt it plug into where your old bulbs plugged in?

What actually turns the lights on and off? I would just guess that this plug plugs in to the original plug and when you turn your lights on it sends power to the relay and thus turns your HIDs on. That way you would still be using your original switch to turn them on and off. Just a guess....

Obviousely this plug is meant to be the switching device. I see a red wire (power), 2 blacks (ground) and this plug all leading to the "switch box". So hmm...do I just have to splice this into my wires or find a plug somewhere??
And Styx isnt H4 our bulbs? Fill me in here!
