I may be leaving you guys

As the title says, I might not be on this site too much long. I have found what is basically my dream truck, 2002 F350 SC long box, 4X4 7.3L/6spd, 4" lift, 35" tires, 18" wheels with 60,000 miles, they want 26000 for it. I am going to look at it either tomorrow night or saturday. So before I go I have to get my F150 all cleaned up and looking good. Hopefully they will give me a good price for my truck. Do you think they are asking too much for it? I am not willing to pay more than $6500 to boot do you think this is wishful thinking? (probably)

Just make sure you bargain, because they will go down.

Why would you leave the site? It's a Ford forum, your buying another Ford. You don't need an F150 to be here.

I guess I shouldn't have said "I may not be on this site too much long". I should have said that I may not be on this site as much. Since now I am on here a few times each day. I think that I am kind of addicted actually.

I would de-mod your current truck and sell them individually though, you should make some good money off them.

Sounds like a truck I bought before my current 05 F-150...I bought a 2002 F-250 diesel, 4 door 6.5' bed, 6" lift with 36" tires....I had it exactly ONE MONTH....It drove me crazy trying to drive that beast anywhere...If you haven't ever driven anything that big before, it's NOT easy. You really have to plan every single trip, you can't park it in many places, and it takes a 40 acre field to turn it around. The other thing that I was a bit surprised about, the mileage for a diesel sucked, and with diesel prices above gas these days, I was spending WAY more on fuel than before.....just food for thought.

That makes more sense.

I can spend 5 hours a night scanning these forums, and you think YOUR addicted!

I was thinking about that also. I am putting my good wheels (Helos) back on tomorrow after work, just to see what they will give me with all the mods. And then also find out what it would be if I took them all of. I would hate to take everything off the truck and then find out that we can't make a deal on it, and just have to put everything back on.

Driving and parking it won't be a problem, since my father has a F350 SC long box FX4 dually, and I am very used to driving his truck with his 25' gooseneck in tow. As for mileage, I don't use my personal truck alot, heck I have only put about 800 miles on the truck so far this year, so paying a few extra bucks isn't going to kill me if I fuel up at the station. But most of the time I think the off-road #2 will be getting used, as we have a 2000 gallon tank at our shop.

My wife sure thinks I am addicted! Does the site offer free treatment for our disease?

The price seems a bit high. Is it an XLT or Lariat? Is it being sold by a Ford dealer? A couple things I don't really like about the '02 is the smaller grille ('05 and up look better), and the outdated interior.
