What's this thing for?

I was cleaning out my truck (2006 F150 Screw XLT w Captain's Chairs) today and noticed that the front lip of my front passenger seat cover had come loose. While I was trying to hook it back up I noticed a small black box affixed to the frame directly underneath the seat. It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes. There isn't one on the driver side. Anyone know what it's for?
