Anyone w/325-60R20's on 20" stock wheels
 

Okay guys, here is the deal...I have spent countless hours searching this site for someone who has 325/60R20's on the stock 20" wheels with no luck. I have found some fellow Ford owners who have 305/55R20's on the stock 20" wheels. Here is my story, I have a 2004 FX4 with AS 2" spacers for my 18x9 wheels wrapped in some beautiful 325/60R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. IMO my truck looks sweet but for some reason I have a serious vibration problem with this combination on my truck. If I stick the stock FX4 wheels and tires on if feels as though I'm driving on a glass road. I've had the aftermarket wheels/tires road force balanced at the local Ford dealer and they said they are well within the specs of what is considered to be a balanced tire. I have read a lot about how some of these trucks don't take kindly to aftermarket wheels and I think that is what my problem is. I bought the wheels off of ebay from a guy who had them for 2 weeks. I asked him what type of wheels they were and he said he bought them at a local truck accessory store out in California and didn't know the brand. They have no markings indicating the manufacturer although they do resemble the Ultra Predator wheel, could be a replica. Anyways, my guess is that they are cheap wheels and that is why he sold them on ebay hence my vibration problem. I really like the 33" Nitto tires under the truck and don't want to go with a smaller one to slap on my stock wheels, so what I did was order stock OEM 20" wheels to alleviate going through the same problem with a different pair of aftermarket wheels. Finally back to my original question, I have seen these wheels with 305/55R20's Nitto tires but I would like just a little more rubber like the 325/60R20's. Will these work with an FX4 with 2" AS spacers? I don't mind if I have to trim some trim on the truck, I just don't want any serious issues that may cause damage to the tires. I would be happy with the 33" version but would be much happier with the 35"s. If someone out there has this combination or knows someone that does, please post. Thanks Nebraska, I would imagine that a 325/60-R20 in your tire and a Nitto tire would be damn near the same size. I'm under the impression that different tires of the same size may have a little variance in overall diameter. Anyways, I appreciate your post and gives me some confidence in purchasing the 35"s. Not a problem, but check and see on the Nitto and BFG websites to make sure they are similar in size. Now make sure you take pics!!!!!:thumbsup:

I agree with Ryno, Nebraska has a sweet lookin ride:thumbsup: I really like the stock 20" wheels from Ford, they did a good job on the design. I will definitely take some before and after pics, hopefully by the end of this week!
