fitting 38's on a 6inch lift

im saving all the money i can from the pennies in the couch to the dime on the sidewalk to get a 8 inch RIZE lift but they sure are pricey

anybody put 38's on with a 6inch RIZE

thanks in advance guys:thumbsup:

First off I think they cost the same if not close to it for 6 or 8. Second if you go 6 inch and want to save money get a procomp or something. And no 38s won't fit with just a 6 inch.

Please do more research. 37's don't even fit on a 6" Rize without a proper coilover or spacer config. 38's hardly fit on the 8" Rize according to Patshea, which has done some trimming to fit them.

yea.....i got my 38's and i got rubbing when turning and braking hard and turning on bumps....nothing too bad...but still.

i didn't know rize made 2wd lifts?

patshea098 Mar 8, 2007 08:08 PM

good point....they dont

Rize does not make a lift for 2WDs. . 37s won't even fit on any 6" lift. . && the 6" and 8" Rize are the same price.

Why are they the same price?

Makes no sense to me either. Thumper did your 37's rub at all? #2 How much did your mileage suffer after putting the 37's on?

Me and Thumper have bout the same setup so I can answer this for ya. Both my front fender flares are just floppin around from being pulled out by the tires. This could be fixed with a little trimming but I never can get around to doin it. Also, I get about 12 MPG when I keep my foot off the gas.

I've got some slight rubbing at full lock with hitting a bump. I did do some minor trimming though. I'm getting 13 mpg around town with an Edge, Airaid Jr, & true dual Flowmasters.

:beers:

Probably going to go with 35's but then I don't know if that eight inch lift would look right with 35's. I would get the six but dang it why do it when you can get eight for the same price. Help me make up my mind!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Captain Morgan, who installed your lift?

Rize's prices are the same on the 6 and 8" because they can't compete with Fabtech, Pro Comp, BDS at the 6" price and they said no one ever buys the 6" kit from them because if you're gonna get a Rize kit then go with the 8" otherwise go with one of the companies I put up earlier. If you're short on funds then go with Fabtech 6" and put a leveling kit on it and get your 8.5" even though Fabtech does not suggest this but I know there's quite a few people on here running this. I have half a skyjacker kit on my fabtech 6" and it sits me at about 7.5".

In summary:
8"=Rize
6"=Fabtech, Pro Comp, BDS
