To much Chrome?? Have RED truck.

Well I was going to do a black theme but I don't think that is going to work so I am trying to decide on how much chrome should I do to make it look just right. I have an '04 Supercrew. It has the chrome bumper front and rear. I have added chrome side steps and a billet grill. I was going to add chrome Putco handle covers and tailgate cover. I was trying to decide if that would be to much chrome. I was thinking of adding chrome mirror covers too, don't know if that would push it over the top.

What do you think. Anyone have those or some items on a red truck??

Here are SOME of the items. Remember a little goes a long way with chrome.

I like that look. I think I am going to get just the Putco door handle covers and tailgate cover. I am going to pass on the fuel door and mirror caps. I think those are just going to be to much with what I have already.

That was easy. Thanks.

I have some chrome on mine but it's a white truck. I did the LT handles so the buckets are white with the chrome pull handles. I am going to do this with a fuel door that I just ordered. Austin83 did this with his and I like the way it looks. Here's a picture of his door.

that is the only time I think I have ever seen a fuel door look good,

anyway josh066..... dont get all chrome handles... theres a guy down the street from me with a blue xlt screw and chrome handles/buckets.... it looks uber tacky, go the way of the LT handle and have the buckets painted to match with just a chrome strap

Wow, your not kidding. Do you ever feel that there is too much? Not a big fan of the morror caps at all. Might want to check you spelling of accessories in your sig.

You can check my library for more pictures. I didn't want to do too much chrome as I don't think chrome on red looks very good, especially if overdone. I'd recommend painting the handles and mirrors instead of going chrome, but to each his own. The LT handles look good and flow well with a chrome emblem.

I did the black on red with my old dually and I thought it looked really good. I left the rims stock, but went with black running boards, roll bar and brush guard.

Whatever you do make sure to post pics!

I would not do the Putco handles, to me they look very cheap! And can turn a nice looking truck into a very ugly one, fast. Maybe do either LT or PTM handles. A little chrome goes along way, and alot of chrome looks like _____,IMO.

you can never have too much chrome!

im sorry, i had the pic and saw an excuse to post it

seriously though, i think chrome looks good when added appropriately, chrome accents are good, but dont overdo it or your truck will end up looking cheap...

i see these trucks around town that look like the owners went to the chrome store and got a little crazy in the stick-on accent department

I know exactly what you mean. There is a guy in town that has a blue F150 screw FX4 with chrome nerf bars, rocker panels, mirror caps, Putco door handles, grill, bug deflector, and rails on the bed. It just looks horrible to me. but from what I have heard he thinks its the best looking truck around.

No I am very happy with all my chrome. Just gotta want to have it. Good call on the spelling, I never even noticed. But you might want to check your spelling yourself on the morror caps (mirror caps maybe)
