intake guys, here!!!
hey guys, i installed my new intake yesterday, and late lastnight my check engine light came on.. today i disconnect the negative terminal off the battery let it sit for 15 minutes then re-connected it.. truck stumbled a bit until the MAF sensor calibrated.. i take it for a ride on the highway to home depot and it was fine, on the way home it came on.. this intake is the EBAY special lol i know i know laugh.. it is the identical intake aside from the filter to the MAC intake setup.. is there anything that i can do to get rid of the engine light?? has anyone experienced this problem with there intakes?? all info appreciated
Give it the once over and make sure you didnt forget to hook up a sensor also check your clamps if any around the mass airflow sensor happend to me it was sucking in air after the mass airflow also known as un-metered air lol.

its def. running lean. our trucks are running lean from the get go, you're just forcing that much more air through there. not sure why other companies don't trigger the sensor though. trash it and spend some money on a good one.
i hate to say it, and i'm guilty of it too, but "you get what you pay for"

If you get the edge you will at least be able to read the code and if you end up taking the intake out you will still have the tuner for extra hp. If you haven't yet take the entire set up out and reinstall it. if the directions arent clear d-load some from K&N or another manufacturer, the basics are all the same. After you do that recheck EVERYTHING when I installed my K&N I forgot to check one of the sensors and it flipped a cel. Last, unplug your battery for a longer time, 15 mins isn't always enough to drain what power is left in the system. leave it for 30-40min. If all that doesn't work...it is better to trash a bad $150 part then a good truck.
