Last night I bought me a 2006 F150 Supercab XLT Longbed 4x4 with the 5.4L and 7 lug axles. Was wondering what improvements everyone has been doing to there trucks so I can get some ideas...THANKS

wow i have never heard of or seen a 7 lug option.

 

Its the heavy duty package with 4.10 gears.

 

Yep. Heavy duty package with 10.25 rear end, aux trans cooler and heavy duty springs and shocks

The rear leaf was extra tall, so I raised the front last weekend. I'll get a new photo on.


Alba makes the good rims for this truck. I'm saving.

 

SuperSlabCab- my truck looks just like yours, just in maroon. I read some of your threads last night on leveling kits and getting better gas milage. I'm interested in what results you have gotten

 

Yeah, I had two Lariats previously, same truck, but not HD, and 3.73 rear.

Cant get one now.

Two big factors appear to be tire size (larger diameter), and getting tunes. The trans does alot of slipping. Needs better shifting.

Think torque with this truck. A larger intake will help that.

A Hard Bed Cover really helps gas mileage.

I'm also looking hard at Efans.
