When I purchased my Edge I didn't originally update it. I installed it without a problem on a 05' Scab 4.6L V8. I had the issue with clearing the old truck off the Edge but got that taken care of, and now I'm getting ready to install it on the new truck. Should I update the Edge before installing it on the 5.4L 3V 06' Screw?

 

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

BUT since you don't have it connected to your new truck, I would say update it.

 

Depending on date of purchase, your EDGE may not have been shipped with the latest code for the 06.

Best to update before install.

Only takes a few minutes anyway.
