Dealer 30K Tranny service

Well I called up the dealer to check the price on getting the 30K tranny service they want $200 to flush and another 150-175 to drop the pan and change out the filter. I told the guy wow! I'll have to do that $100 job myself. I can't belive they charge so much for an EZ job. :coffee:

You can drop the pan yourself, but a power flush is not exactly a DIY project. That Said I we once flooded a truck offroading. We took off the trans cooler lines and with the truck running and in gear we let the trans suck in fresh fluid and dump the old into a bucket. Probably not 100% effective, but the trans is still up and running 1 year later and he made it home. It was a mess though as we werent able to get the bucket close enough to catch 100% of the fluid

Most dealer websites have service specials listed. Look up all your local dealers online, and call the ones with trans flush specials to see how much extra they'd charge to drop the pan and change the filter. Tranny flush specials in my area run around $140 +. Best price I found out of 6 dealers in my area was $170 for trans flush, pan drop, and filter change. Worst price was about $310. Good luck.
