Door noise
Door noise
Anyone else have an issue with the Scab front driver door making a rattle noise only when it is really cold out? I have a ’06 Scab and I am having this issue….had the same issue with my ’04 Scab.

it might be because the back door on the supercab is not closed right, i know that it looks like it is but open and shut it hard and then shut your front door a little hard, that happened to me ones and that was the problem
fx4fire...
yes..that is the noise, I thought i was going crazy too.
I know the back doors rattle a little if they are not closed all the way, but this is a very different noise...tin on tin is about what it sounds like...but only makes the noise when it is really cold out....very strange!!

I have the same noise. It started after I installed the power windows. I know the one screw underneath the arm rest is loose so I think it's the door skin rattling. Because when I apply pressure to the door skin, it stops. Guess I need to pull it off. Maybe the screw clip is loose.
my rattle is because I havn't got around to screwing in the last two screws of the crappy stock speaker

A guy told me one time he was getting a rattle/squeaky sound out of his doors. He said that he used a little Armorall on the seals and the sounds stopped. I guess it would be worth a try. I have not tried this myself though.
The left-rear door on my SCrew also has a creaking noise in the (cold) mornings. I've had the entire door panel off in search of the noise. I made sure everything was nice and tight. It didn't help... Thinking back to a previous 2001 F150 that I owned, one of those windows had a similiar creaking noise. It turned out to be one of the window tracks, down in the door. I think one of these weekends I'll take the door panel off again, and this time focus on the stuff INSIDE the door frame. The more I think about it, the more I think it's the same problem.
