Door noise

Anyone else have an issue with the Scab front driver door making a rattle noise only when it is really cold out? I have a ’06 Scab and I am having this issue….had the same issue with my ’04 Scab.

put some acoustic dampner in the doors, behind the door panel. This should take care of all your rattles and road noise.

it might be because the back door on the supercab is not closed right, i know that it looks like it is but open and shut it hard and then shut your front door a little hard, that happened to me ones and that was the problem

yes..that is the noise, I thought i was going crazy too.
I know the back doors rattle a little if they are not closed all the way, but this is a very different noise...tin on tin is about what it sounds like...but only makes the noise when it is really cold out....very strange!!

I have the same noise. It started after I installed the power windows. I know the one screw underneath the arm rest is loose so I think it's the door skin rattling. Because when I apply pressure to the door skin, it stops. Guess I need to pull it off. Maybe the screw clip is loose.

A guy told me one time he was getting a rattle/squeaky sound out of his doors. He said that he used a little Armorall on the seals and the sounds stopped. I guess it would be worth a try. I have not tried this myself though.

I love these forums here, I have been hearing the same noise in my 04 scab the past couple of cold days too. Almost like a screw ticking in a cup. I'll turn up the radio till it warms uo some!

The left-rear door on my SCrew also has a creaking noise in the (cold) mornings. I've had the entire door panel off in search of the noise. I made sure everything was nice and tight. It didn't help... Thinking back to a previous 2001 F150 that I owned, one of those windows had a similiar creaking noise. It turned out to be one of the window tracks, down in the door. I think one of these weekends I'll take the door panel off again, and this time focus on the stuff INSIDE the door frame. The more I think about it, the more I think it's the same problem.

My 06 supercrew drivers side door has made noises since day 1 and they can't seem to fix it.Sounds like the door isn't closed but it is.It is driving me crazy though.
