Q about keypad (programing it to work)

Hey guy's i am going to put a new door handle with a keypad on my 06 XLT (on it's way right now)and was wondering if they have to program it (from off to on) do they do that threw the OBII port under the dash or do they program it threw the box behind the back seat?

Thanks John

Programming VSM for Keypad

Look at this link for exactly what has to be done to allow the keypad to work.
Read post number "50".

cycle the key 8 times in less than 10 seconds. The 8th time end in ON.You will hear the door locks click .Immediately press 1 button on each of your remotes. You will hear the door locks click after you hit each button. Then punch in your keyless code an the keypad.Door locks will click again.Turn off and remove key.You are now programmed.P.S.if you dont do both remotes at this time they will lose thier program and you will have to repeat procedure....Paul
