Yes you have to turn the key to the on position otherwise once you press the brake to put the truck into gear it will shut off.

so you dont have to press the brake or shut off the engine? you can just stick the key in the on position and it will recognize the key?

Who installed it? That's a great price if install was included. Everyone around here wants 500 for a basic install. I also have this system, I got it last Feb. right after I bought my truck

A local audio store. However, I did purchase my Eclipse AVN5435 at the same time too so that probally helped.

I love the 791.. but have had it for two years and gone through 3 remotes... my last one the images besides the permanent images (like the top of the padlock) had completely faded away, though they were still actually there). They are like $70 on ebay so it is kinda annoying to keep buying them, but I got free install on my alarm from my college roomate who used to install them for a living.

I got mine from a local shop bought/installed. I cant say that i have ever seen or looked for the clifford alarm online. Id bet anywhere that sells viper/python would have it.

Many of us on here have used Travis at kcautosound.com He is an authorised Code Alarm dealer and sells pre-wired systems with step by step installation instructions.
The Code Alarm Elite Series systems allow you to use your keypad on the door to arm/disarm your alarm. Code is the onlly manufacturer I believe that does this. Also available for the Elite and some other Code systems is the Car-Link module that allows you to arm, disarm and remote start your vehicle from anywhere in the world via telephone. I use mine every day since my remote won't work in my building.

I also installed window roll up modules so that I can call my truck and roll the windows up when I arm the system. Additional sensors I added are Code Alarms DUB1 titlt sensor for my wheels and the GBS glass break sensor.

BTW I use Code's CA680 2-way remote start/alarm

What's cool with Travis's site is you receive points for you purchase and then can use those points for savings on your next product. You get a point for each dollar and 20 points equals $1.00. Read through his testimonials on his site. Best customer service ever!
