brake rotor replacement

brake rotor replacement

do we need to unbolt that HUGE nut in the middle?

I don't think so. Just remove the calipers and it should come right off.

If you have 4-wheel drive then no...If you have a 2-wheel drive like me than yes you do.

Right. Mine is a 4X4. I don't know about the 4X2.

2 WD have a large spindle nut clearly marked, do not reuse. They are an OEM only lock nut and they run about $23 EA.

On a 2WD, yes, and it must be replaced whenever it's removed. Torque to 295 ft/lbs with the new one.

You can find em for 16 bucks.
