Who's got a dog and a quick install rear seat cover??

I got a german shepherd pup for christmas and so far she loves ridin in the back seat of the truck. I really don't want my truck smelling like a dog or having stains on the seats (I got fabric). Right now I just tuck some beach towels back there and that works great but I know there are some good products out there that you guys are using for covering. I'm looking for either a hammock style or just a padded seat cover made to fit our rear seats that is water repellent and washable. I also don't want a permanent one, but rather something that just snaps into place so I can take it out and in when I need it. I know some of you out there are using something like this so lets hear some reviews and prices!!! Oh, here's a pic of my pup for ****s and giggles, 12 weeks old full blooded with all the papers. :santa:

I have this one now from Petco. Does the job for me. http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.as...amilyID=13405&

Also if you do a quick google search for dog seat covers or anything like that you can find a lot of products out there for hammock style or just regular seat covers for pets. Here is one that a buddy of mine has. It's all kinda preference too.

BTW, great looking dog. My family used to have a shep when I was younger. Now I'm the proud parent of a 4 year old pitbull. She also loves coming in my truck. Good luck with the pup

I bought one form cabela's for $30-40 dollars. It has worked great. I slide it on when I need it and then store it under the seat when not in use. It comes with velcro to help hold it to the seat, but I have never used it.

Also Autogeek has them

I like the looks of this one . I like how it covers pretty much everything back there because I know how BIG these dogs can get. Both parents were around 100lbs so...... I did a google search and came up with a whole load of em, I just wanted to make sure to check some personal reviews from you guys before I went and got one. I'll probably go to petsmart and do a little lookin too.

To Be Honost, I Have A Black Nylon Back Seat Protector That I Bought From Petsmart, But I Don't Ever Use It. It Is A "quick" 5-10min Install When I Needed It, But I Hated To Put It In When I Took The Dog Someplace And Then Out When I Took People Someplace. I Instead Bought Synthetic Leather Covers From Iggee.com Which Do A Great Job Of Protecting The Back Seat From My Yellow Lab, And Look Great Overall. The Covers Were $269 For The Entire Supercab. Just My 2 Cents.

Great dog!!

I also have a boxer, and I have a lab. I typically fold the seats up and use a blanket.

Are you guys belting your dogs in?

I bought a very cheap one ($20) from Cabela's about a year ago. It's a nylon material. Mostly for my dog, but also for the kids when camping. Very quick and easy to install. Protects my leather very well. Highly recommended. The only downside is that you can't use the middle seatbelt, since it is a shoulder harness design.

Someone else here posted some information about custom fitted rear seat covers some time ago. These things were very, very nice. I think there were even provisions to use the middle seatbelt. They were also about $300 and way out of my price range -- the $20 solution I have works just fine.

One sheet of plywood, some 2x4's, and misc. hardware. Mine rides in a box I built to slide into the bed. I loose the bed when he's in there but he's never messing up my interior. Don't forget just how big that dog is gonna get. And before the treehuggers cry foul the box is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, complete with pillows and blankets. =) I.M.H.O dogs are safer in a very strong box rather than loose in the cab. Unless you can train them to wear a set belt.

You actually can buy a seat belt for your dog. I also have a jeep wrangler that I drive in the summer with no doors and no top and the dog loves to ride like that. I wouldn't take her before but then while shopping at Petco, I found a harness that you put on your dog and then you loop the seatbelt through it.

This harness easily holds the pet securely so you don't have to worry if you hit the brakes hard or just don't want them wondering around the cab while driving.

I bought one from PEP Boys, and it is kinda a pain but it is completely waterproof and it keeps it clean. Looking for something a little easier to install
