Was there a Silverstar Update?

Was there an update the availability of the Silverstar's for our trucks? :beers:

I'm bored with the factory headlights. :) Saw a lifted Silverado last night with what appeared to be Silverstars and it looked great. I had them on my Jeep and loved them. :lurk:

Yep. They're available. Check your local Advanced Otter Parts. ;) If they don't have them on the shelf, special order them for next day delivery.

Anyone know the headlight #'s?

Anyone install HL's and Fogs yet?

Nevermind. If I took my time and read through the threads, I would have found it. Doh.

PN is SILVERSTAR H13 ST/2, in case anyone wants it.

I think the Silverstars arent what they where back 4 years ago when they first came out. They where brighter back then, the ones I have gotten sucked lately I would just opt for the HIDs.

I want them even if they are only a little better than stock. I dont have to money, or time, to fab a HID install.

Au Contraire... The part number is H13STTWIN at Advance Auto Parts. I ordered them when they first came out, but they have since appeared on shelves. (takes time to catch up with plan-o-grams)

Where the hell have you been? They have been all over this site for the last couple of months!

Actually there is a Silverstar update. Sylvania is now making a Silverstar Ultra.

Copied from the Sylvania website. "SilverStar ULTRA headlights provide up to 25 percent increased down road visibility, increased side road visibility and up to a 20 percent brighter light, compared to standard halogen headlights. They also last up to 30 percent longer than regular SilverStar headlights."

Can't find info on what's available, but will email a friend at Sylvania and see what I can learn.

On the Ultra... I wansn't paying attention when I bought the head lamps and fogs for my truck... the head lamps are the 'standard' Silverstar, where the fogs are the 'Ultra'... There is quite a difference in color.

I have both the regular silverstars in both my fogs and headlights. The Fogs have a whiter light than the headlights for some reason.
