Billet door handles???
Billet door handles???
Ok i've been thinking about getting a set of the billet doorhandles for my 06. I'm just afraid that they will be to much chrome. I have seen them on black, and slate colored trucks and they look good. But would they be too much on red truck. It's a supercab, and it already has a billet grill on it.
I need opinions please. Or if anyone has any pictures that would be awesome!
BTW i have searched, but i'm looking for people with pictures of them ona red truck. Thanks guys.

I think it would look good. Too much chrome however DOES look cheesy.
If all you have is a chrome billet grille, then that's ok.
But then if you have chrome wheels, chrome fender trim, chrome box rails, chrome mud flaps, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome pillar covers, chrome mirror covers AND chrome/billet antenna...........then it's overkill.
To each his own.
I have a silver '07 and am installing the Roush billet fuel door, door handles (not covers) and stainless sport tubes (like the harleys), and I don't think its overkill at all. Just enough to make it sharp, but not over the top.

Not the best pictures but here's what I've tried. Look in my gallery for some more pictures
Handles made by Putco. They are there liquid billet aluminum full replacement handles, not stick ons. The chrome started to peel withen the first two weeks. One handle had a bubble in it before I started to install them. I didn't notice it until I finished installing them, actually the wife seen it. These things are expensive and not worth the money imo.

So I replaced them with the Lincoln Mark LT handles. I like these better. They have the oem fit, feel and style to them. Plus it's not all chrome, just the pull handle with the painted buckets that match.

Yea that was my other option. How much do the lincoln handles run? And is it difficult to paint them to match?
Don't the Putco handles have a lifetime warranty against defects on them?

The LT handles come painted. I got mine at wholesale from my dealer for 240 plus tax. That's for a crew cab though. It would be less if you only need three of them. There are a few online stores that wholesale ford parts as well. I'm not on my home cpu right now. I have a few web address on there that do wholesale parts online. I could post some to you later if you would like. Unless you know somebody at your dealer you would save on shipping cost but have to pay taxes so it probably works out to the same.
I don't remember what kind of a warranty they had. Luckily autoanything gave me every penny back I spent on them. They had another brand They offered to sell me similar to those but I was at the point that I was just going to put the black ones back on. Until I learned about these handles. Sometimes aftermarket crap ain't worth it.

Billet handles - whichever format you go with - really does bring out the "wow" factor of these trucks.
Like the Nike logo says .. .. ..

Unless you have a keyless entry on your truck, thoughs should work. Don't forget the tailgate handle.
What model is your truck?
Do you have power window or locks?

Are the Fx2 handles similiar to the Lincolns? I'm just not a fan of the black on the red.
