What To Do??

so i made a list of mods i want to do, and then ill be done with the truck.

and as some of yall may know, im getting king coilovers for christmas, that im helping pay for haha, so im basically buying one of them.

but my question is, for the money being spent on the coilovers, should i skip them, and do some of the other mods first, that add up to the price of the coilovers? i want to offroad though and the coilovers would be great.

heres the things id get versus the coilovers:
bushwacker pocket fender flares
New longer rear driveshaft
Tiregate vertical series

Well if it were me.......

1) Fender flares (save your paint)
2) New LONGER driveshaft (probably solve another problem there)
3) Tiregate (pure fluff)

You can always get coilovers down the road...seems like your cutting a few probs off at the pass if you get the above. Yeah wheeling might not be all it can be without coilovers but unless your doing some desert racing any time soon I dont think i'd worry about it too much. Coilovers are nice but not necessary

well with the coilovers i can crank them up a inch and clear my rubbing issue also...

and i was thinking no to the tiregate now....cuz i dont have a spare tire or rim and i dont wanna buy a spare tire cause i plan on getting toyo's after these adn dont wanna be struck with a different tire...

dilemas dilemas....haha

tough life... I looked at those tiregates..their cool and all but cant see spending the money they want to either take up bed space, make the truck any longer than it already is (angle mount) or decrease visibility (vertical mount) Rather throw a spare in the bed when I need it (wheeling or road trips) never worried about a spare with my Scrambler (40" MT/R's) I know youve got the Rize, whats the deal with a longer driveshaft? vibration issues? running out of room on the slip yoke?

The fact that the driveshaft is almost 2" out of the transfer case vs stock. .

I had a vibration as well so it just wasn't cutting it.

Would added a spacer to the driveshaft not help? BTW what size blocks comes with the rize kit? 5"?

Yikes...sounds to me like that would be a priority. Did the same on my Cherokee with Skyjacker 8" rockready lift. Had to rebuild the transfer case, pull out the slip yoke, mount a fixed yoke and of course a new driveshaft with a slip yoke in the middle....one of the those pain in the A@s things nobody quite mentions when your lifting trucks.

For someone that does not have experience offroading and uses it as their daily driver, coilovers are a waste except to look cool. The stock coilovers are fine for what you need. Unless you are turning into a pro racer or something, spend your money elsewhere.
