Also, you can drive through a mud hole like Josiah just fine without new shocks. I'm just trying to be helpful and tell you it is a waste. I have driven mine offroad and it handles fine.

Well, fender flares are pretty much useless on our trucks unless you can find some that come out further than out tires. I would be interested if anyone knows of any. Price would very from shop to shop for paint.

Do coilovers look good yes, but i think they are unnecessary for our trucks. They are made to handle abuse that the rest of are trucks are not meant to handle. I would suggest actually going offroad and then deciding. I never see the badass trucks at the mud pit running thousand dollar shocks. The biggest benefit is being able to raise the front end.

I think it was you that I told before to get a old beater truck to destroy in the mud. Buy a truck and a trailer and you will stay ahead of what it would cost to fix yours.

Altogether, I would say if you have to think this hard and always ask what to get you probably don't need anything else that much.

Once again.. Your first mod should be ditching those STSs if you think you are going to be doing some serious off-roading. STSs are good for sand and street but thats about it, as far as mud goes you are SOL.

i was looking at the hidden winch kit from warn.....1010 bucks gets me the mounting kit and the winch.

i think ill do that and the new driveshaft.

k so ive decided against the king coilovers, went off roading today...nothing to hardcore but enought o decide i dont need them.
so now im trying to decide what to do:
-i like the warn hidden winch kit.
-i am thinking my new driveshaft
-tow strap
-mabye the buishwacker cut out fender flares not sure though, will i rub more with those one?
-mabye a front bumper, grille guard, but still havent found one i like

ANY OTHER IDEAS?, no im not planning on getting all of that, just 2 or 3, depending on the combo. im looking for something that has a use, with some style (doesnt have to have it), and something that would be good for offroad.

man i couldnt agree more on that man.........

coilovers are if you wanna do race in the dunes.. and need that slushy feeling you need and less rebound so you dont max out and **** ... you dont need that to push pavement around id get a nice lid and fender flares.. and call it a day

i dont have a real use for a lid, i like them but would be off to often.

pat bro...you need to lift before you get those flares......I was going through the same thing with my 36 iroks on my 6in lift.....when I was having it custom painted I had ordered the flares and had them painted and put on. I got one look at her and before she could be moved an inch we ordered the body lift and had it put on.....I was going to be rubbing worse and would have messed up the new paint...

You may need more than the standard 2 1/2 in width too...I think someone asked...not you..but..bushwacker makes em up to 5inches wide which will cover your 15.5's...I'd guess to go with the 4in wide's but hold off till you get some extra lift.... just my .02
