HELP! Want a new F150

Hi all,
Just got home from being deployed (got to come home early :-)
Anyways, got in my truck and was driving home and noticed that the hood was shaking, then I noticed a pronounced shake in the rear (can see the bed shake), then to top it all off, I put it in 4hi a few days later and I can hear the gears moving. Also when I put it in 4hi, it slams into it.
Ive got 34500 on mileage. Was going to shell out 1500 for an extended warranty and put some leather seats in, however, with these problems plus some of the other minor ones Ive had (power rear window doesnt work, seat stains) Im looking into getting a new Lariat 4x4 SCAB. I was looking at X plan prices and found one loaded for 29,530.
So, what should I do? Does anyone was a X-plan pin they could part with? Thanks

PS: pics of the current truck are in my profile.

There are a couple of guys on the Lightning forum that work for Ford and have given out many X plan pin numbers. I would post over there and ask for one. Also dont forget about the incentives on the remaining 06s. You still get those on top of the X plan price.

Best of luck to you
Andy

Did the truck sit for an extended period of time? The shaking is most likely from the tires being flat-spotted from sitting. The gears may just need oiled from sitting as well. I would say get that truck to the dealer to have the rear window fixed under warranty and get seat covers. Well, this is me talking since I hate to make payments again on another new vehicle, so my advice may be something that you don't need. Good Luck however you go. BTW, that is a decent price for a Lariat.

I know how it feels every time I come home from a deployment I want to buy something new also. Look into a new one and dont forget there will be more incentives in Dec.

Maybe the shop did not balance the tires well. I would have them look at it again.

Thanks for all the quick replies.

I had the shop rebalance them earlier today (road force), did nothing for it.

Do you know what the incentives will be for in DEC? These 06's are looking mighty nice :-)

Im in the USCG and just got home from patrolling the Carib.

Thanks again

Andy

IROC IT,

Thanks for the offer.....lol. But so far it looks as though I may be able to get into this Lariat I have my eye on. Its FULLY LOADED (moon roof, audiophile, Heated and power front seats, 4x4) and the X plan Price is 29,239. Sticker for it is 38,950.
Here's the question though.... you guys think I could get the price any lower before my down payment or my trade in? The key is gonna be my trade in..... will see what the dealer says though. Will definitly let everyone know how it goes.
Andy

Im in FL, but the truck Im buying is back home in VA, so it makes for an interesting buying experience.
