achieve fx4 height on 2wd?

i know its been adressed on here before but after searching i still couldnt find what i was looking for. I want to gain a few inches on hight on my 2wd but money is a big constrant otherwise i would just get a 6inch lift kit. What can i do to gain the ride height of the 4x4 trucks or if possible even another inch or two on that? any suggestions would help!

the most i would go in the front would be 2.5" unless you get a full lift.....i ordered my blocks, ubolts from fortparts.com...paid like $90 or so, but make sure you order the nuts for the new ubolts......different size from the 2wd ubolts....also you will need new shocks for the 4wd, longer shock.....

as for the rake......i went up 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear.......i had a
2" rake.......so that left me with 1.5"....i added my 200# tool box that lowered my rear another .5"......so now i have about a 1" rake.....i have to use my stepbars to get in......

block part # 4L3Z 5729 CA $23.74 each need 2
u-bolt part # 4L3Z 5705 JA $8.37 each need 4

here are the part#s...just make sure you order the nuts.....i dont have the number for those and new shocks.....i went with oem...i like the ride and didnt want to change it....they were only $45 each

for all front and rear and alignment...i paid $350 and did it all myself......

That's exactly what I did and it worked great. I got the 4x4 blocks & U-bolts from someone on this site for $30 and got the 4x4 shocks off ebay for $25. The AS cost me $112 bucks shipped. You can see the clearance between the tires and fenders on the front and the rear. All I need now is some bigger tires and I will be set for now. Until I can think of something else to do to the truck.

I did a 2" AS and a 1.5" AAL. The shorter the spacer in front the less balljoint wear, so I've read.
