To everyone one here with HID, please back me up and tell these guys that you can make it were the lamps DO NOT blind on coming drivers.. I may me a 20yr KID but i'm sure i've already driven and owned just as much trucks with after market products then half the people on here (if car club rings a bell I will post pictures of 10 vechiles, as you may say KIDS that have all nice truck and cars with aftermarket lights).. I've been into cars since I was crawing so dont TRY and tell me I dont know what i'm talking about.. Like I said before IF MY LIGHTS CAUSED A ACCIDENT OR FOR SOMEONE NOT TO SEE, I WOULD NOT HAVE THEM!!
Sure any moron could figure out that HID can be used without blinding others with glare. How else do you think all the OEM cars have them in luxury cars?

Here is an analogy for you. Would you try and run a prius in a Nascar event? If not, then why would you put HID bulbs and ballasts in a HALOGEN reflector. Take it from those of us who have STUDIED the physics of HID, light reflection and glare.

I came upon this post in an HIDforum.

I really think it'll help you and the people who choose to go your route.

PS. If you get pulled over by a cop and he sees that glare and decides to check it out, that can be a several thousand dollar ticket.

"I was doing some searching and found some GREAT videos to show all those people who swear kits don't have glare or they are better than stock halogen. Here is the proof:

the first video is great because not only does he have one HID kit in one headlight and the other stock to show good differences but you can also tell just how much glare you get. Also notice that the halogen side is actually puting out more useable light on the GROUND, where it counts!

Check out this HORRIBLE narrow beam pattern. Notice how blue and stupid everything looks. Smurf-style y0!
