Year ago Today.

Well its hard to believe that it has been a year I traded in my old 2000 for my 2005 F150. Truck has done well in the last year no problems to report and I only put 16,700+ miles on it durring the first year of ownership.

Why do you guys own a truck?

You really ought to get it out and let the engine get warmed up once in a while!

Purchased 9/24/05
Pic taken about 5 minutes ago...and it didn't even get driven last week, it juust sat at the airport !

I drive it everyday and my main reason is because i own a boat. I am also getting 20 boards of sheetrock and 2x4s tomorrow...thats my reason

I have a truck because I like having a truck. And, being that the only way to keep value up on a domestic vehicle is to keep the miles low, I am doing so. I am already flipped (owe more than its worth) on my truck by 6k, and I dont want that to get any worse. Oh yeah, I got 4500 off sticker, 3000 rebates, nothing down and very little ($1000) negative equity transferred over. Explain how THAT happened.

My point exactly...I was mostly kidding, but economically, it would make more sense for someone who needs a vehicle for less than 10,000 miles per year to rent one than to own one...

hmustang, I am like you brother.

I traded in my 2000 F-150 for my current 2005 F-150....other than having some start problems, the truck has done really well for me.

I've had my truck almost 16 months (1 yr, 4 mos) and only have 8,500 miles on it. It helps that I work only 1.5 miles from my job. Been blessed.
