The Fuel Factor

Since we know that all brands of gasoline are not created equally or the same, lets post our results from runnning different fuels of varying octanes from different companies here.

I've only had my truck for about a week now, so I don't have many experiences yet. Here's what I've been using though.

Racetrack, 91 - No noticeable problems. No noticeable change in gas mileage or performance.

Shell, 93 - No problems. Gas milage appears to have improved since I started using it. Performance is noticeably improved.

Your turn.

I run amaco, exxon, shell and mobil. they all seem the same to me. But I don't have any mods but me Edge. Ford says to run BP. I do not run citgo or any other cheap gas unless I'm in a pinch.

BP 93 octane. No problems here, don't have anything to compare it to though.

I use whatever fuel I happen upon while I'm driving down the road, except for BP branded fuels. No problems or no appreciable mileage differences between any of them.

Around Colorado all gas comes from the same refinery so it doesn't matter much, there are 20 different brands but its all the same gas. Some may put additives in it.

Exxon, Shell, Mobil, Chevron, Texaco...93

Whenever I am at home my parents gas my truck at Costco (I don't know if they have them anywhere else it is like Sam's Club) and my truck runs amazing! I can't wait to move back home just so I can gas up there. It has a noticable difference in power and gas mileage is a tad bit better. And it is always cheap

I only use a few name brand stations just for my peace of mind. I will not gas up at BP, Diamond etc

I wrote the local paper and told that spineless bastard to his face, I'd never buy another drop of BP branded fuel as long as I was driving, and that I was telling all my friends and customers to do the same - I personally saw to it that everyone I knew did not support his store by any means necessary.

I fill up at whichever gas station is closest. But I try to fill up at costco because it is so much cheaper. I usually fill up at name brand stations. The only places i won't fill up is where they charge more for a credit card or if they don't take AmEx.
