i just saw this post... if you're going to be hauling, or towing, or crankin through the backroads, i would suggest getting a notch to put in there. the flip kit and the low profile bumpstops give you limited travel, about 2-3 inches. the DJM arms are by far the best, but if you're going to set up a 3 inch drop up front, i would suggest the 2" arms and a 1" drop coil, which would be a little stiffer than stock, aloowing for better cornering.

i would suggest a driveshaft hoop as well. just a little added insurance so if it does let go, its not tearing up absolutely everything.

The c-notches are a pain in the azz for what you get in return.

Notch the cross member and you can run 6" in the rear. Front 2" control arm and 2" springs would give you what you are looking for.

now where is the best place to buy the parts seperate? All of the kits come with the 3" drop arms. And i like the idea of the 2" arms and 1" springs. thanks for the help thus far.

I had the Mcgaughy's 2/4 (Front coil-overs, rear leaf springs). It sits prefectly even and rides great. The only problem I had were my rear leafs were really soft and not good for towing (unless u get air helpers) or for heavy acclertion off the line. I am on my 3rd drive shaft and now I am back to my stock leaf with the 2" drop shackle so it sits 2 inch higher in the rear with the front still 2" lowerd. Future plans are to get the rear DJM flip kit with the lifter hangers, or to sell mine and get the whole djm setup.

No, but I have enough power to spin my 24 inch ZR rated tires and my rear leafs didnt alot them to spin and it would wheel hop and thats why I was brecking and twisting drive shafts. warrtied the 2nd one but had to come outta pocket for the 1st.. werid u would think i woulda got it fixed free the frist time not the 2nd (2nd I had my stock wheels n leafs on)

here's another good question:

that would depend on your tire size, budget, desired end result

3.5-3.75 dpending on the inner fender due to your tire size.
Justin on the other hand could go down to 5 in the front
