I have no problem driving in the snow with my 4x2 truck my last truck had a open rear and done fine in 7.5 inches of snow Nashville got a few years ago. All I basicly do is start out in 2nd gear then pop it into drive after I get going. Works well for my and I only have a 4x2.

Get some good tires. I made it around fine all last year with no weight in the back of my truck. It has a limited slip, and Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo's.

That was the one thing I was looking forward to last year was driving with no sand bags in the back. I had to do that with my 02 Tacoma Dcab.

I would have been pissed to go buy some more sand bags after throwing all 640 LBs of tube sand in a dumpster after I got my SCrew.

The SCrew had no problems in last winter. In fact it did a lot better than my 05 Explorer V8.

Just wanted to give an update after my first winter. I did not put any extra weight in the back of the truck. Used the stock tires. I definitely did some slipping around, but it worked out well. If I had posi I think it would have created more problems for me. One tire slipping is no big deal. When I needed to go up a slippery hill or something, I'd just switch it over to 4wd quick and be done with it.

Just took some getting used to, but wanted to let everyone know that the F150 worked very well for me this winter.

My Supercrew is Awesome in the snow (but i have LS). I rarely every put it in 4wd and it still goes everywhere in the snow. I came from driving an AWD Explorer which i loved, but like my F150 even better... allows me to play around and get sideways much more often then my AWD would allow.
