question for guys with bigger tires (35" - up)

I am getting a lift and 37's put on my truck this weekend and I was wondering what you guys do about a spare in case you run into a flat?

Make good friends who will go to your house and grab your stockers @ 2 in the am. I have no solution but I'm pretty sure without the hitch the spare will fit. What setup are you going with?

dont get a flat, and have AAA on speed dial for a flatbed no - well, i carry my stock 32 (im only at 35 though) if i get a flat in the back, will rotate one of the fronts to the rear to keep the LS happy, and put the stocker on the front and limp home getting ready to shell out another 300 to get a new tire.

if you get a good tire though- hopefully you wont get a flat- i ran over an inch long screw last spring in my toyo mts- it went into the body of the tire (NOT a tread block) and didn't puncture the tire- took it to the dealer and they used a drill to unscrew it- no air leak

Someone posted that a 35" will fit in the spare location, I know this won't help with your 37's.... just throwing it out there.

I'm goin with the 8" rize and more than likely the same wheel/tire combo as you.

I'd like to see that. I've thought of painting my bumpers so now I'll have an idea. Take lots of pics from all angles if possible.

haha, I probably wont have the privilege of going to the dunes like you do but you can definately expect some pretty good offroading pictures/videos from me. only reason I havent really done anything crazy yet is because with the weight of my truck and these tires, I have a hard time making it through wet grass.

you did a chrome bumper swap. What did you do with the old ones? Can't wait for the vids/pics.

well if you ask me i would say just carry one that was a 35 to a 37 and keep it in the bed of the truck when off roading, otherwise if you do have a flat just running down the road with an off road tire you hit one big damn squirrel or rabbit. those tires are built to withstand beatings.

i saw this one thing it replaced the tailgate and you mounted the tire there up to a 37" so you don't loose any bed space. the only downside is it was like $800
