Do you need the dimensions from the tip of the ujoint flange that connects to the rear diff/tcase, tip to tip? I can get it in about 3 hours from now if you can wait that long.

Glad you are helping Josiah, give me that dimensions and i will pass for the manufacturer. I hope that's what they want, i called them now but they are closed. He just told me, "i need to know the drive-shaft length to build you onel".

I'm near certain thats the dimensions he's looking for, I'll get home in about 45min w/a response. Did he give you a price range?

I measured from the beginning of the slip yoke on the flange where it connects to the driveshaft to the point where the two ujoint flanges meet (so if you were to take the driveshaft off, where the end of the driveshaft on that side would be). It was 62", took two to hold it up there.

Josiah is the man when you need something measured under the truck. I don't think he even has to duck now to get under there.

I'm interested in the drive shaft you are looking into as well Rafa. I'd like to know who you are getting it from and what the price is as well. I'd also like to get some feedback from you after you get it installed and abuse it a bit.:rocker:

What sort of gains/benefits would there be from a CF driveshaft? Reduced drivetrain loss?

The 4wd screw driveshaft weighs 24lbs. A carbon one depending on yokes used will weigh anywhere from 6-10lbs. That is less error in balancing and a couple ticks quicker in the 1/4 but keep in mind you are still pushing a 6k# truck.

For anyone with the scab the d/s weighs 30lbs.

Thanks for the measurements Josiah. You are the man.

The drive-shaft it's around $1000.
