Question for guys with Roush suspension

Im looking at going with the Roush suspension kit here real soon and was curious for the guys that have this package what you think about it? Do you really get the 2" drop front and 3" in the rear? I have 2" drop shackles I could add to the new leafs if its not level after in the rear if need be.Overall feel of the shocks and beefier sway bar? I heard the shocks are Bilstiens in Roush colors is that true?
Give me the poop.

I have it on my truck. Not sure if you exactly get the 2-3 inch drop because my truck came with it, but I've measured the front and back, and the back needs about a 2 inch drop to be exactly level with the front. Handling wise it's amazing. It handles amazingly. Nevermind the better look that you get from the drop. As for the bilstein thing, I've heard from Roush that they are modified Bilsteins.

I definetly recommend it.

Hope that helps.

Sweet looking truck. I figured I would still need to lower the rear some more because I dont think the 3" will be level after I drop the front 2 more inches. I have some 2" GF shackles I could use on the new leaf springs so that "should" get me pretty close I would think. I am looking forward to the improved handling and stance. Hmmm modified Bilsteins? Dont think they need to be modified because they are good shocks but as long as the Roush stuff is good quality which I hope for the price then I am sure I will be happy especially when I get bigger wheels and a little less side wall (40 or 45) that should make the cornering even tighter. Thanks.

a 2/5 drop will look much better but the rear may be lower, my 2.5/5 is pretty level

If you are looking for handling the stock 2-ply sidewall tire isn't going to cut it, even on a drop. At least invest in 4-ply tires or go to a wider tire/rim combo if you already haven't thought about it.

word. the tires made the biggest diff for me going from the hanpoop 255/75 17's to 275/45 22's after my drop (coils, leafs, and rear nitro active shock only) I noticed a little less body rol at first but as I re-learned the limits of the new drop the tires were limiting. it seamed like I was squealing the tires every turn I made. my next step is to replace the 2" coil up front for a 3" drop and go with the roush shocks and sway ar up front. I'm still unsure what to do in the rear as far a sway/ traction bars go

I was looking into the roush 2/3 kit as well, but I was concerned about towing abilities. I emailed them and roush told me the rates stay same as stock.

Styxnpicks, what lowering kit do you have?

*nevermind, I checked your sig.*

Jec1521"s Roush f150 also is a 4x4, so a 2wd setup would appear 2" lower at the corners, correct?

the front no it would be the same, and the back it depends on if he kept the 2" blocks

On the subject of suspension i HIGHLY recommend a rear anti-sway bar. With my helper bags they act in the same way by limiting compression on a single side keeping the rear flat as hell in a turn now and i have way more steering response in turning and if there is ever a *panic* move. All my understeer is mostly gone now and the front is the only thing that needs help. I am debating if i want to spend the money to get the front anti-sway bar from roush now. The front end tends to nose *out* of the turns especially with the AS.

Anyone know of any rear anti-sway bars that would fit on a truck with a rear flip kit? That's the last mod I want to do...
