Pics with 35" mud graplers and 18" Eagle 187's

Here are the pics of our truck. Lift is going on this weekend. We will post pics when the lift is done. Sorry some are blurry. And the truck is dirty. The only problem is the tires rub BADLY when you turn to the left and right. But that will all be fine this weekend after the 6" fabtech goes on. A quick funny story:::

I was on the phone with my GF when she was leaving the shop who mounted the tires, And she pulls out and i say " can you hear the humming?" She says "huh hold on there is a plane above me i cant hear them" I started laughing , no honey thats not a plane, its the tires!!! We thought that was funny so i thought i would share!

No the guy in the pic is not me!!

Nice to see tires like that in use. Mostly "posers" out here.

Looks good.

jsut cause you have a lifted truck and big tires and you dont take it off road doesnt make you a poser.

Sweet looking rims and tires you got there. I like it!
Cant wait to see how it looks with the 6" lift.

in my opinion, it does.

04f150pa - I like your wheel/tire combo, cant wait to see it after you get the fabtech installed.

Awesome! That is the look I want! I don't want a lift kit cause I don't really want to climb in my truck. It sucks being short. :bandito: I'm going to install my Autosprings 2.5" kit soon as I get the energy.

Would that setup work with the leveling kit and not rub?

Looks good, what rim width and offset did you go with? I'm looking at the same rims myself...

There is currently a autospring 2.5" leveling kit on now, it rubs at full turn.

The rims are 18 x 9.5 with a 5" Backspacing. cant wait for the lift.. and man do these tires suck the gas!!

Very nice, I love those wheels w/smaller holes in about a 15" rim. Those still look great, and the tread on your tires is making me depressed, enjoy it while it lasts ;) Nice pic offroad as well, hope to see some more in the future. Next time you're on the freeway thinking about me, put the cruise on @ 55mph and see what kind of mileage you're netting.

Impact9 Sep 18, 2006 10:20 AM

This may seem like a silly question but why would those tires really effect gas mileage?

I know it's more mass to turn around with a very agressive tread but it's still a round tire. I would think you'd only loose oh maybe 1 mpg on the highway.

I was looking at going with 8.5 or 9"...I assume your rubbing is from the outer sidewall on the inner rear of the front fenderwell, or are you rubbing inner sidewall on suspension...or maybe both?

No lift for me in the near future, but would like to get a bit wider rim under my 2.5 AS...

I only lost 2-3mpg, was able to hit about 22-23 before the lift on the highway, now I can hit 19-20. Before this oil change I was hitting 20-21 but many things can contribute to that small of a change. The lift is what changed most of it, the added mass and decreased aerodynamics really hurt. I was on my stockers for about a month and the mileage came back a little when I mounted the 37's (the 37" diameter tire changes final gear ratio). In town mileage is terrible, but it has always hurt to track that.

Drive w/cruise @ 55mph everywhere, don't knock it till you try it. I also have a much higher gear ratio than you, equates to about 2.xx w/37" diameter tires. Great for highway but otherwise...

I wish I had those tires.
